We've been talking a lot on the blog lately about "breaking traditional rules" and the notion of summer weather "lingering into the fall season".

And while this outfit falls in line with both those points to some degree, I really didn't choose this look to make a statement or be defiant in any way. To be honest, I bought this jacket (as part of a suit) toward the end of the summer, and really just wanted to showcase it on the blog. And yes, its super light cream color and linen texture make it a no-brainer for summer, but by pairing it with a cool-toned shirt and trousers, it simply serves as a warm relief to a fairly fall-oriented outfit.
